Buy a Bark Marker Unit
Buy a Bark Marker unit
If a neighbour’s dog won’t stop barking and you need real evidence, you can buy a ready-to-go Bark Marker unit. It works just as well the other way around: if you are a dog owner who has been accused and you want to prove your dog is not the one barking while you are out, the same unit gives you an objective record either way. You do not build anything or set up anything technical. You get a unit that is already configured, help getting it running, and you generate your evidence report from the unit itself.
Enquire about buying a unit
Tell me about the situation and I will get back to you within 24 hours. Freight within Australia is included.
To enquire, fill in the form above, or email me directly at [email protected] with your suburb or postcode and a sentence about what is going on. I will get back to you with availability and the next steps.
What it costs
$350, with freight within Australia included. That covers the unit, setup help, and 12 months of software support. There is no subscription and no contract.
Buyback. If you return the unit within 60 days in good, clean, undamaged condition, I refund $100. Return postage is at your expense and you carry the risk of loss or damage in transit. The refund is paid after the unit arrives and has been checked. Every returned unit is wiped before it is sold again. If you only need a few weeks of evidence, that makes the real cost $250.
The unit is in active development, so improvements are being made regularly.
What you receive
- A ready-to-go unit. It arrives pre-configured. You plug it in, point it toward the noise, and it starts listening. No fiddly setup.
- Setup help. I will walk you through placement and how to confirm events from your phone, so you are capturing good data from day one.
- 12 months of software support. If you get stuck, email me.
- A timestamped evidence report. Once you have reviewed the detected barks, you generate the report from the unit: hourly distribution, daily patterns, a full incident log, possible triggers, and a methodology declaration. You can see exactly what that looks like on the sample report page. More specific analysis is available on a case by case basis.
If you want the detail on how the unit actually detects and learns the specific dog, that is on the how it works page.
Does it count every bark? The report is a log of detected barking incidents, each with its date, time, duration and a bark count, plus a daily total. Sustained barking is marked as continuous rather than counted bark by bark. It is a measured, timestamped record that you can back with the recordings, not a guarantee that every single bark was counted. Councils commonly ask for a diary of the barking, and the report is set out as one: dated, timed incidents with the recordings behind them.
Delivery
I post the unit to you anywhere in Australia with clear setup instructions, and I am on the other end of an email if you get stuck. Freight is included in the price. Posting does mean a day or two each way, so factor that into your timing.
How to enquire
- Use the enquiry form above, or email [email protected].
- Tell me your suburb or postcode and a quick description of the barking problem.
- I will confirm availability, sort out payment and postage, and get a unit to you.
Before you buy: try talking to the owner first
I always say this, because I mean it. If you have not already, it is worth a calm conversation with the dog’s owner before anything else. Plenty of owners are out at work and have genuinely no idea their dog is barking. A Bark Marker report can actually help that conversation by replacing “your dog barks constantly” with a clear, factual record, which takes the heat out of it. The best result is the one where you never need the council at all.
If that does not work, the same report is built to support a formal council noise complaint. Bear in mind that Bark Marker provides evidence tools, not legal advice, and that every council assesses complaints under its own local laws and process. There is more on that on the how it works page.
